The Rowing Club

In an idyllic setting and a relaxed atmosphere, the Rowing Club offers a breathtaking view of one of the most beautiful spots in Marseille. From the rooftop of the restaurant, you can also admire the Marseille rooftops and the view of the sea, the old port, the Pharo, Fort Saint Jean, the MUCEM, and in the background the Cosquer adventure and the La Major cathedral.

Passionate about cooking, the chefs Christian Ernst and Eric Rabazzani imagine dishes in the colors of the South every day and adapt to the seasons. The restaurant revolves around three axes: a tapas aperitif every evening for 32 € per person, a menu homemade dishes and brunch every Sunday for €39 per person.

I went to the Rowing Club on a Sunday morning to try their brunch, a colorful all-you-can-eat buffet. We are welcomed by a bar with fruit juices, lemonades and detox waters, tea, hot chocolate and coffee.

One floor below is the all-you-can-eat savory-sweet buffet. On one side we find charcuterie, cheese, scrambled eggs, pesto gnocchi, bacon, various savory rolls, pasta and rice salads of all kinds.

On the other, we witness a farandole of viennoiseries and pastries such as flans, cheesecakes with red fruits, madeleines, muffins, lemon meringue pies, raspberry pies, cannelés (very good, and it comes from a guy from Bordeaux !). For healthier food, fruit is also served.

At the same level as the tables on the roof terrace, a burger bar is offered, with a choice of chicken, beef or fish. Be careful, the buns are quite big, which stalls us quickly.

Remember to book, especially in season, the Rowing Club is a very popular place in Marseille. The restaurant also has a quality catering quality catering for all your private events or professionals. The place can also welcoming private companies for seminars or meetings. It is also possible to privatize the restaurant for special events.
