After their bistronomic restaurant Copains, Jules Girandon and Pauline Lagon are restored an old garage and inaugurated their new bistro on November 16, 2023, Bidoche. With their partner Antoine Gaudio, the chefs revisit Lyonnais specialties. Their cuisine is warm and inspires confidence, the bar also offers a selection of delicious organic and natural wines.
The price of the daily special has been set at €13.80 and will not change one iota “so people know where they are going. We want to attract customers from the neighborhood and with a glass of wine for €3. For €17, everyone will have eaten for real,” says Antoine.
The servers are adorable, very accessible and smiling. For the wine, we were very well advised, a tannic and fruity Zig-Zag accompanied our dishes throughout the meal. To start, a thick and delicious slice of coppa is served as an appetizer. I personally tried the country terrine with redcurrants and the beef, pork and poultry pie as a starter. Everything is homemade, the tastes are there and the flavors are comforting.
For the main course, I tasted the monkfish with smoked bacon and the poultry supreme with morels, each dish accompanied by a potato gratin deliciously flavored with garlic. The monkfish was very well cooked and served with a vin jaune jus with great taste.
Don't hesitate to book, Bidoche has just opened but the restaurant is already taken over by the people of Marseille... ;)
